Pinkfresh Studio August Stamp and Die release Blog Hop and giveaway! ♥

I created two gorgeous cards using the Sending Love and Hugs Stamp and Die set and the Pop out Straight Stripes Stamp.

For my first card I wanted to go with blue leaves. I love unusual color combinations and I don't necessary want my image look like in real life. I wanted to create depth with a bit of shading, so I used a little blending brush and added darker shades to the bottom of the leaves. You can watch my process video on YouTube, if you are interested how I created shading with stamps and a small blending brush.

I used the Pinkfresh Studio premium inks. For the leaves Sky Blue and Storm. For the petals Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, and a bit of Lemon Whip.

For the background I used the Pop out: Straight stripes stamp. I did not use the pop out feature, just covered the whole stamp with the Sky blue ink. 

I ink blended the lovely bow created with the Artistic Bow die set with the blue colors and the Jewels are such a nice addition, I love a bit of sparkle ♥

This is my second card, with the same, Sending Love and Hugs stamp and die set, but a different color combination and a different card design. 

I used Fresh Pear and Olive for the leaves, Ballet Slipper, Lemon Whip and Marigold for the Petals. I used the awesome shading technique with the small blending brush. I like this effect so much!  

My card base is a patterned paper from the Let's Stay Home collection, the Best Place to be paper. The light pink color is the same shade as Ballet Slipper ink. I wanted to embellish a bit more, so I used my sewing machine and did some embroidery stitching. It is a lovely addition ♥
