With this wonderful release I made a very elegant card set using the Making Things Happen and the Stippled Plaid Press Plates. Wow are they beautiful!
I kept it very simple... I used only two colors, both Betterpress inks, Mulberry and Cosmic Sky. I used the same inks directly on the paper to ink it up. On the blue only the sides, and the Mulberry the inside panel.
Boch inside pieces are die cut from a paper panel that I embossed using the Stippled Plaid press plate. I love the texture it gives.
I made some dimension with extra layers of die cut and foam tape. This way the drop shadow adds to the design.
The lovely sentiment is from the Making it Happen stamp set.
It was quick, effortless and it became a timeless design. I hope you like it ♥♥♥

VálaszTörlésI find the mulberry ink in the center of the second card fascinating. What is that extra texture? What is the link of smooth ink around the edge? I love seeing a technique that I have no idea how it was created.
VálaszTörlésHi! The texture you see is the texture of the watercolor paper. The ink makes it more visible. If you just ink blenk it with a brauch it is smoother and if you use the inkpad directly on the paper, it will be more visible. I just used those two inks, nothing else.
