The Best Day - New Fall scrapbook collection from Pinkfresh Studio

Hello Friends! Thank you for joining me for the Pinkfresh Studio Blog Hop for celebrating the release of the new fall collection The Best Day! 

Such a beautiful collection with fresh, not traditional fall colors and wonderful floral images. It is a favorite of mine. I created a layout and a Reel video for this release, I hope I can inspire you. 

I really like the style of the collection, a bit of folksy, a bit of romantic with some wonderful vintage style illustrations, like the patterned paper that I used for my background. I just love it soo much! 

I started with picking three colors I want to use for the layout. I just loved the tag with this wonderful deep green, so green it is for one :D  I love this mustard yellow and I also added a tiny bit of pink - rose. I choose the ephemera and stickers in these colors, and just started to make a big cluster around my photo. This cluster has grate dimensions as I used foam tape to raise my photo and also under the photo and between the layers.

 

This process is really about which elements you love and choose. It is helpful if you keep some ground rules in mind, like if you choose a circle element then you should use another one or more two circle elements. The tree creates a visual triangle. 

I printed my photo in black and white. I repeats the black and white of the background. 

Before adhering my cluster to the background I prepped it with clear gesso, as I planned to use some watercolor around the cluster. I mixed the matching colors, green, yellow and a tiny bit of pink and added it in the corners around the cluster using a brush. I hope you like it!
