I have a lovely inspiration to share with you. ♥
I created two gorgeous cards using the one of the floral layering stencil sets Enchanting Meadows and two background stencil sets, the Diamond Plaid and the Cloud Builder!
The Enchanting Meadows layering stencil set also has a coordinating die, which is awesome!!!
I must tell you that using these stencils is so much fun... I already made 4 more cards, and I love them all. I will show you those soon with process video!
I concept for these cards was to make a card with a very bright colorful background and faded florals and a card with white background and colorful florals.
For the first card I made an ink blended background using the Cloud builder slimline Stencil. I wanted to have a nice cloud builder stencil so long and here we are Pinkfresh Studio made the perfect one also for slimline cards! Yaay!
I used some of the pink (Ballett Slipper and Sparkling Rose) and some purple shades (Candy Violet and Lavender) inks and my darkest color is Sapphire. Isn’t it beautiful?!
I started at the bottom and after blending one color I moved up a bit, and to the side, to have variation is the clouds. On one side of the stencil are bigger fluffier clouds, on the other side there are smaller clouds, so there is a lot of variation available!
I love unusual color combinations and I don't necessary want my image look like in real life. On this card I imagined a bright colorful clouds background and a faded flower image. For the florals I used the grey colors and one blue tone. The Enchanting Meadows stencil is a five pieces set of stencils. There is one stencil for every layer. If you get confused on the back of the packaging you can see and example, that you can use as a guide.
Using the stencils is really easy. There are little marks (notches) in the corners, to make you easy to align the paper and the stencils, one after the other. It is the exact size of a 4 1/4 x 5 1/5 card. There are also numbers on the stencils, next to the corner marks, which is the best order to make the blending, but of course that is only a recommendation, you can change the order if you want, or leave out a layer...it is up to you.
There is a coordinating die to the Enchanting Meadow layering stencil set, so it is important to follow the recommendation of the notches, so the size fits perfectly.
On the floral image I used one layer of the stencils for dry embossing. It is so easy and it looks gorgeous! I embossed here only one layer of the grass, the lightest grey. On the picture right down below you can see the result. It is gorgeous. With stencils you can do so many techniques, dry embossing, blending, applying various pastes, or sprays...
As finishing touch I applied some Glossy Accents on the flowers and little jewels for some shine and bling. ♥
Next to my second card. Here I used all background stencils (2 pieces) at once for dry embossing. It worked great! The Diamond plaid stencil set is a set of 2 stencils. Look how gorgeous it looks. I love the white, but textured background.
The texture on the background wasn't enough for me, I went a step further, and made some embroidery stitching on it. These are the French knots, there are several YT videos where you can learn it.
The meadow is ink blended, you can maybe see, that I used more blue at the bottom, and blended some green to the top. Through the last layering stencil I applied some Versamark and embossed with a Teal-gold embossing powder.
I made some French knots in the little flowers as well with color coordinating embroidery floss. On this card I used crystals for sparkle together with the embossed layer and my title.
The little bird was laying around in a little container, and it was perfect for this card. I think maybe it is a left over from Pinkfresh Studio Noteworthy collection ( Oh how I loved this collection, a favorite of mine)
I hope you like my cards! I was so happy to have the chance to take part in this blog hop!
